Why
We produce bar soap at our Tangerang site and ship to buyers in more than 30 countries. Export customers expect a lot number, a test result and a certificate of analysis to travel with the shipment, and they expect the dates we confirm to hold.
Until now each part of that ran on its own records. Quotations sat in one place, stock in spreadsheets, production plans and dispatch notes elsewhere, and every order was re-entered as it moved from the trade desk to the plant to the loading bay. That is not what a Halal and GMP certified plant shipping at our volume should be running on.
What the system covers
Sales and quotations, inventory, production planning and batch records, procurement, and dispatch documentation. Each order is carried as one record from enquiry to container, and each finished lot is linked to the raw material lots and quality results behind it.
The plant runs on Aourix, a lead-to-cash platform built for manufacturers.
What we expect from it
The system is new, so this is intent rather than results. We will report when there is something worth reporting.
- Documentation that exists at dispatch rather than being assembled afterwards
- Delivery dates set against real line capacity
- One stock position rather than counts reconciled between files
- Traceability in both directions on any lot a customer asks about
What does not change
The same trade desk, the same grades, the same specifications, the same people. Orders are placed exactly as before.
“Most of the work is not the software, it is the data. Every grade, every pack form, every supplier has to be entered properly before any of it is useful. We are still in that phase for parts of the range. We took this on because at our volume the paperwork has to come off the line with the product, not be chased afterwards.”
Raphael Feliks · Operations Director
Further notes will follow as each part of the range moves across.
